After several years waiting

Wondering if it would ever be

That this day should come

I‘d be so full of glee

My daughter was ready

The day had arrived

The call had come

I was so happy I cried

I started my car

My face full with a grin

Anxious to get there

To see my new kin

Racing down the road

Will I make it in time?

Will it all be over?

Sure hope all goes fine!

It really doesn’t matter

Granny is on her way

She’ll be there soon

Knows just want to say

After 41 hours of prancing

Moving Across the floor

Is it time for dancing?

Could Granny really stand more?

Now the bundle just arrived

Granny Robin’s so proud!

On the 24 of July 2008, Isn’t that wild?

Now Granny can’t wait

To bounce Evelynn on her knee

She has my eyes, my curl,
